The next version of Windows-Windows 7 - will be available in 18 months, according to a letter that the company's vice president Bill Veghte sent to Microsoft customers.
Veghte said that Windows 7 will be available three years after Windows Vista is available, making the estimated date for starting the new operating system in January 2010.
